As I played with Emma’s feet while we watched television last week, I casually coiled a twist of foil from a sweet-wrapper around her toe, as if simply amusing myself. The loop fitted the little finger of my left hand perfectly. And that’s how I knew the size of the toe-rings I bought as a surprise for Emma - and as a gift to myself, since I adore her feet and wanted to see them look even prettier. I have suggested toe-rings many a time, but Emma never seemed over-keen on the idea. But once she had seen them on, she was completely sold and, to my surprise, insists that she will always wear them with sandals - which would be a very daring move for Emma, and something I will only believe when I see it. (I am still waiting for her to wear the ankle-chain I bought her last year.) In the meantime, don’t be surprised if you see even more pictures than usual of Emma’s feet over the coming months. We foot-fetishists must satisfy our desires somehow.
