One of our priorities when choosing a hotel room is having a bath which will comfortably accommodate two people. If it’s a Jacuzzi or a whirlpool, so much the better, but they are the exception in the UK. Cleanliness being next to godliness, and in order to conserve the planet’s resources, Emma like to take a bath together and to wash each other very thoroughly indeed. I have posted pictures to show that thoroughness, and what it can lead to. Unfortunately, as you can see from the snapshot alongside, at home our bath is really too small for two. And the bathroom itself is too small to take a larger bath, so we are stuck with it. However, Emma frequently joins me momentarily, so that we can rub each other down with a soapy loofah , and wash each other back and front - especially the front, where there’s more to wash. In my case, it seems that the more Emma washes, the more there is to wash. Getting out of such a small bath presents its own hazard, as you can see here.
