Pictures of Emm
I don’t think Emma guessed the spoiled-brat cause of my mini-depression. I said nothing about it and was making do instead with my antique laptop and the little notebook to which Emma has taken a shine, thinking it delightfully lady-like). Then out of the blue Emma made the suggestion I hadn’t even thought of making myself. I should perhaps explain that Emma, after much deliberation, has decided to have a new fitted kitchen. And thanks to her on-line research, she independently came to share my frustration. “What’s wrong with this stupid computer?” she asked. “It’s so slow!” And then: “Don’t you think it’s time we got a new one?” What could I do but reluctantly agree? “Well, if you really think so, sweetheart, I’ll check out what’s available on line. How much were you thinking of paying?” So in retrospect, I’m glad this crisis happened - and that it didn’t happen before Vista gave way to Windows 7. Perhaps St Isidore of Seville (patron saint of computer operators) has been looking after me after all.
