Saying it nicely - 1

I got a little carried away last week with euphemisms for eating pussy. The intention had been to follow the three posts with a poem describing the act - a quotation which was self-contained and beautifully written, to contrast with the rather coarse phrases listed over three posts. Although I have a fairly large collection of anthologies, most of them with a section on Love, I failed to find so much as a hint of oral sex. Peter Webb’s The Erotic Arts, with chapters on literature through the ages, briefly mentions cunnilingus only five times. But for some reason his only quotation from literature is a sonnet by Aleister Crowley describing cunnilingus with a menstruating woman. It is beautifully written, but a little too esoteric. That, I would strongly argue, would be an acquired taste - like poetry. However, it’s worth reading in full if the following three lines appeal to you.
x x“The month of thirst is ended. From the lips
xxx“That hide their blushes in the golden wood
xxx“A fervent fountain amorously slips …”
