How we met

[This was prompted by yesterday’s post] It was September, 1956. Some spotty little first-former had run off with the scarf of a first-year virgin from Mabel Fletcher Tech. Our mission, as sixth-form prefects of the illustrious Blue Coat School, had been to apprehend and horribly punish the culprit and to return the scarf to its rightful owner. Later that week, we returned the scarf to the shiest of the girls, who was introduced as Emma Jane. She was uncommonly grateful because her mother had threatened her with a beating if she lost the scarf. Although Emma was only fourteen - three years younger than me - I really fancied her, and we arranged to meet after school. She hadn't got much bust, but when I put my arms round her I could feel her bra under her blouse. Big thrill in those days. She had long legs, and very, very brown eyes. On our second meeting I kissed her gently on the lips and said I would go with her on the bus to Woolton, where she lived. I could see right up her skirt when I followed her up the stairs. And the rest, as they say, is history.
