The other delight of shopping, of course, is lying on the bed watching Emma try on her latest purchases. Unless she has bought something specifically with the Blog in mind, the garments are seldom exciting in themselves. But is nice to watch her dressing and undressing, and standing as if on parade - “Stomach in, chest out!” as the sergeant-major used to bark - waiting for approval. And the signs of approval are always there if she chooses to look! Last weeks purchases were an assortment of tops for the Autumn season - her Summer outfits are yet to be worn. In other words, they were quite boring in themselves, my only interest being in seeing her take them off. Reminder to self: persuade Emma that she needs some new, sexy underwear - something to bring a little colour back into our lacklustre lives. Second reminder: Keep the camera on the bedside table, it might come in useful, as it did this time.
