Despite the picture on the left, there will be no mention of Emma or sex in this post. I am currently pre-occupied with loading Windows7-complient versions of all my programs into a new computer. I finally ran out of patience with my desktop and had grown tired of throwing good money after bad. It was time to say a less-than-fond farewell. On my way to daughter Eva’s last week, I called into a computer shop called “Jones the Computer” - what do you expect, this is Wales - and asked the guy to build me a computer to the same specs as those I had been looking at on the net. Okay. It was a tad more expensive than an off-the-shelf model, but there are advantages. He has used components which are readily-available in the UK, which will make further upgrades easier, and has included a boxed copy of Windows7 - so no problems with an OS recovery disk. And if anything does go wrong, I can take it back to the guy who actually built it.
