I took a trip down Memory Lane yesterday, courtesy of Google Earth. What a truly amazing program. I started off just looking at the houses Emma and I have lived in (including the houses we were born and brought up in) the schools we went to, the chapel I attended, the church we were married in. Then of course I was bound to visit other significant places. The precise spot where I climbed over the school wall to speak to Emma and her friends, the park-gates where we met on our very first date, the place where we first kissed. I revisited the public garden where I first got my hand inside her school blouse, recalling the following brief exchange I recorded in my diary:- Don’t, please.
- Why?
- It goes right through me.
- It’s supposed to.
I could zoom in on the secret arbour where I first got my hand inside her knickers. Wow! The seat is still there! I find it amazing that I can zoom in to these locations, so significant to me, and do so to within a few yards, or even less. Ah, memories! Thank you Google.
