Last week we took a short break, staying at our favourite hotel in our favourite report of Llandudno (say “clan-did-no” and you’re almost there). Short, but very, very sweet. We’ve taken some half-decent photographs there in the past - this is one of them - and I was busy with the camera again this time. The pictures are okay, but you’ll have to wait until I’ve downloaded and prepared them for the web. We left it a bit later this year in the hope of more clement weather and to make sure that the attractions (such as they are) were open. Last year we were disappointed that we were unable to take the cable-drawn tram up to the top of the Great Orme. More of all that later. The hotel itself was once the summer home of a wealthy brewer, and comprises just six sumptuous suites, each richly furnished with antiques. With breakfast served in bed, and the Chardonay always on ice, for once I felt I was keeping Emma in the luxury she deserves.
