Last weekend, Emma and I were at daughter Eva’s for three days. Now, I am always quite glad to get back home after spending three nights of passion in a luxury hotel. So you can imagine how happy I was to get back home after the enforced celibacy of Garden City. [The picture is to remind you what I was missing out on!] We were supposed to be there to look after the Incredible Bouncing Dog and its sulky feline companion while Eva and her husband were in York. In the event Adam (who is undergoing chemo-therapy) was not well enough to go. To fill in the time, Emma and I spent the weekend taking down an unsightly car-port which had seen better days. As you may recall, Emma and I are normally celibate when staying at Eva’s, because of the IBD. Having used muscles I’ve never used before dismantling the car-port, I think sex would have been out of the question anyway. However, my sympathy was reserved for Adam, who was too weak to do more than tidy up the parts of the structure as Emma and I took it apart.
