Pictures of Emm
Emma made this bikini years ago to celebrate her Welshness (if only by marriage). Today is St David’s Day, and Welsh men and women everywhere should be flying the Red Dragon and wearing a daffodil or a leek to mark the occasion. St David lived and worked as a monk and bishop in the sixth century AD. Unlike St George of England, St David was actually born and lived in the country of which he is the Patrol Saint. Believed to be related to the legendary King Arthur, we was the son of the king of Ceredigion, who is said to have forced himself upon Non, the mother of David and a saint in her own right. St David was born in extremely dramatic circumstances, on top of a cliff during a raging storm. Educated by St Paulinus in South Wales, he went on to found ten monasteries, instructing the monks to devote themselves to study and hard physical labour. They were also required to live, as he did, on a minimal diet of vegetables and water. For this reason, St David is also the patron saint of vegetarians.
