Our visitor Lowri stayed for just three days, but the abstinence made it seem much longer. Life without sex would be such a bore. I know. I’ve tried it, and like it not. Okay, it’s only ever for a couple of days at a time, but that’s more than enough to convince me. Mind you, it made a change for Emma to have another woman in the house to talk to for hour after hour after hour. On Wednesday, we all took the bus to Aberystwyth, and I was patience itself accompanying them round the shops without a word of complaint. At one point, Emma whispered to me, “You must be bored out of your mind. If I’d thought about it, you could have stayed at home.” Thought about it? If only she had listened! I had dropped the broadest of hints before we set off. I could at least have spent the day browsing recent pictures of Emma [see left] while giving myself a decent hand-job to make up for a frustrating sex-free couple of nights.
