But not necessarily in the right order

There is a classic TV comedy sketch in which Andre Previn conducts Eric Morecambe in Greig's Piano Concerto. Previn cues Eric who starts playing a bizarre variation on the theme. “You're playing all the wrong notes!”gasps Previn. Eric grabs him by the jacket and threatens him. “Look, sonny. I am playing all the right notes.... but not necessarily in the right order.” [If you want to see the actual sketch, search Morecambe+Grieg on YouTube. It’s too long to download here.] This Blog is a bit like Eric’s version of the concerto. It contains all the right posts, but not necessarily in the right order. My problem is that I never believe I will have enough posts to publish. Consequently, if something occurs to me which (with spectacular lack of judgement) I consider worth sharing, I write it down and save it, just to be on the safe side. The result it that I end up with too many posts, rather than too few. And instead of doing what any sensible Blogger would do - sort ’em out and delete half of them - I simply publish and be damned. It’s top marks if you recognise that quote.
