G’day. Today is Australia Day, and there’s every chance they will be having the weather to make the most of it down under. A day of lazing under a cloudless skies, cracking a tube or two of Fosters, enjoying a minted lamb-chop from the barbie. Or maybe nibbling on something just as tasty. There’s a green-eyed monster gnawing at my vitals just thinking about it. My long-lost brother (now found) will no doubt email a few photos to rub salt in the wound. I just hope he remembers to compress them this time! Anyway, to all you lucky blighters fortunate enough to reside in our former penal colony, slap on the sun-cream and have a nice day. It is, coincidentally, also the Chinese New Year’s Day. I haven’t forgotten, but I had twenty-one visitors from Australia last week and not one (so far as I know) from China. If you’re out there, Kung Hei Fat Choy! - and be careful with the fire-crackers.
