[September, 2006 - Stockings and suspenders] I spent a couple of happy hours yesterday digitising and colouring another set of black and white negatives. These were from the seventies, so Emma would have been thirty-something. (I always regret not having dated my negatives.) Oh, the delights of stockings and suspenders! We used to call the welt at the top of a woman's stockings "the giggle-band" - once past that and you were laughing! Your eager fingers simply followed the strap of her suspender up and up to paradise. The younger generation don't know what they've missed. Tights may show more leg, but they restrict easy access. And photo-wise, the suspender belt and straps, and the stocking tops, form a perfect frame for those enticing dark pubes. [If I was writing that post today, incidentally, I would have to add that stockings and suspenders were making a welcome come-back. The same is not true of pubes, it seems.]
