This was to be one of those “Emma being fucked while wearing heels” pictures. The classy, bejewelled footwear, sparkling in the sunshine, was supposed to be the main interest. But the strength of the sun reflected off the vast expanse of my snowy-white back has made the image unusable without a heavy filter. So why not take the photograph again? Blame Emma. She swears she will never wear those shoes again. They are, she insists, the most uncomfortable she has ever put on her feet - and I have to admit that for an hour she had the scars to prove it. But hey, I have a photograph of her wearing these same shoes on the day that we bought them in Llandudno, and they weren’t cutting into her tender feet then. Maybe she’s put on weight below the ankles. Or perhaps she’d simply been on her feet for too long when she put them on. So before consigning them to the charity shop, I’ll persuade her to lie with her feet in the air for half an hour, put on what she now calls those “barbed-wire” shoes - and then fuck her before the blood begins to flow.
