Earlier this month, Suze published a post about Sheyla Hershey, a 30-year-old Brazilian model, who recently underwent surgery to make her 38KKK breasts even bigger - the biggest in the world, in fact. After she contracted a severe infection, however, doctors were expected to remove her one-gallon implants, and she now faces the possibility of a radical mastectomy. Nearer home, a television programme last week showed Natalie Rooney, footballer Wayne’s teenage cousin, undergoing her second breast enlargement. Her greatest ambition, she said, is to have the largest breasts in Britain. One can only feel sad for them both. But it gets me wondering how many guys would undergo surgery (were it as readily available) to enlarge their virile members. My guess is that the procedure would be every bit as popular as breast enlargement. And how far would they be prepared to go? Perhaps Aubrey Beardsley’s drawing of the Lacedaemonian Embassadors is a vision of the future.
