A change to Emma’s medication (for hypertension) left her feeling unwell for a couple of days last week. We checked on the internet, of course, and discovered that the side-effect was quite common and temporary. This proved to be the case. It goes without saying that I was full of concern and sympathy, and waited on her hand and foot. I even made her favourite spiced orange cake to tempt her palette. But, oh sweet lord, how I missed our afternoon sessions, especially coming so soon after the sexual excesses of the preceding few days. By the end of the week, Emma was feeling much better. (I almost said, more like her old self. But references to age are taboo in our household.) Perhaps it was my spiced orange cake, which must have aphrodisiac qualities. I had been transferring some RedTube videos to DVD, and writing resumés, so was feeling quite randy. Emma came stroking my hair and whispered a sweet nothing. A quick bath, and we were fucking like a couple of porn-stars ourselves.
