When you get to our age, you’re glad to have anything to celebrate - other than birthdays, that is. It may pale into insignificance when compared with more popular blogs, but Alfie Loves Emma reached a minor milestone on Saturday. Our blogometer clicked over from 99,999 to 100,000. Of course I missed the actual moment, as I always missed such moments on the car’s odometer. I’m amazed that people have bothered to drop by so often without the promise of tea and biscuits, or coffee and cookies. Thanks everyone, especially those who have left the occasional word of encouragement. Emma and I will be celebrating this evening, with the certainty of making it a night to remember. This blog will, like the Norwegian Blue, have ceased to exist long before a similar roll-over could occur. Come to think of it, Alfie and Emma will have gone too. [Who let that Black Dog in?]
