Corny choice of picture? What do you expect, sophistication? Having nothing better to do in Emma’s absence (yet again) I have been looking back at the hard copy of this blog. It surprises me that I’ve succeeded in keeping it running for over four years - since the beginning of September, 2006. A great deal has happened in the world since then, and I’ve managed to avoid mentioning almost all of it, despite posting almost every day. Now that the blog - like me - is getting past its sell-by date, I thought it might be interesting to publish a single post chosen at random from each of the past five years. That way, you will see that I have somehow managed to maintain the same degree of banality throughout. I have just been re-reading Diary of a Nobody and have reached the conclusion that, compared with Emma and me, Pooter and his beloved wife Carrie lived a life of endless variety and excitement.
