It’s as traditional to make resolutions at the beginning of January as it is to break them before the end of January. Who am I to break with tradition? I thereby and herby solemnly resolve to carry on blogging at least for another year; to take and publish pretty pictures of Emma; to kiss and tell - or more precisely to fuck and tell; occasionally to complain about how cruel life is and, probably less often, to say how wonderful it can be. The secret of making New Year Resolutions, as you can see, is to resolve only to do those things you would do anyway. Another secret is to make them only when you are sober. Otherwise, you will find that you have promised to redecorate the living-room, to de-clutter the loft, to accompany your wife on every shopping trip (even the grocery run) and so say nothing unkind about her mother. One year, in a state of mild intoxication, I resolved never to touch another drop! Does that ring a bell with anyone?posted by sooyup on Daily trivia, Pictures of Emm
