Last weekend, we enjoyed our annual Lodge dinner at a local restaurant - a popular and highly recommended establishment. [And in case you are wondering, I did not take this picture at the time.] The meal was everything we have come to expect from our friend Dylan, who is the owner and a great chef. The food was excellent, and the wine flowed freely. It was a wonderful evening, and one to remember. But for the wrong reason in my case. After coffee I was sucking on a mint imperial. [If you aren’t familiar with this confection, suffice to say that they are as hard as cherry-stones.] Emma reached over to hand-feed me a tasty chocolate truffle, which she insisted I try. As I took a bite, the mint-flavoured ball-bearing fell between my teeth and crack! That was the sound of a tooth shattering. So Tuesday saw me at the Dentist again. Another crown for me, and for him, another payment against his yacht.
